CHEMetrics are based in Midland, Virginia and have been supplying and developing innovative water analysis systems for over 50 years, providing faster, simpler, and safer solutions. CHEMetrics first introduced FoalWatch in 1990 and it has been successfully used by hundreds of equestrian breeders in the last two decades. CHEMetrics was founded in 1969 by MIT-trained chemist Gordon Rampy. The company’s extensive product line of water testing kits is based on self-filling reagent ampoule technology he pioneered. It allows analysts to conduct colorimetric water analysis with greatly increased simplicity, convenience, speed, and safety, both on-site and in the laboratory.

CHEMetrics products are also known for their high quality and dependability, the result of meticulous and rigorous testing by the company's Quality Assurance staff; ensuring the products perform as you expect them to; providing accurate and reliable results in the laboratory or out in the field, whether testing a single sample or large batches of samples.

In October 2022, CHEMetrics was acquired by AquaPhoenix Scientific, an established manufacturer of test kits, reagents, chemical feed and control systems, and data analysis and reporting software. AquaPhoenix Scientific has been an official US CHEMetrics distribution partner for nearly two decades, having built up a close working relationship and extensive knowledge of CHEMetrics products and the water analysis market in that time. The acquisition benefits both companies in terms of combined technical knowledge, distribution networks, management teams, and industry leading products, allowing both companies to better positioned to meet and exceed customer needs.

Galgo (UK) Ltd is the official CHEMetrics representative for the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, since 1980, and is based alongside the Grand Union Canal in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. In addition to the CHEMetrics FoalWatch™ test kit, we supply a range of CHEMetrics Water Analysis products to companies, organisations and end users in the UK, the Republic of Ireland and a variety of countries across the world.
